This series of circles on paper is a continuation of a journey into the world of concentric circles. I found that each circles I had created had its own character - much like a letter - and when I put these circles together they created words, a language.

The Circle Game (as appeared in Canadian Interiors of June 2006)
Toronto based artist Ruth Adler's new series of digital prints will be on display at Jim Kempner Fine Art in New York City. Around in Circles running through June 10, is a collection of the artist's trademark vibrant circle prints, only this time on a large scale and on paper.
Adler creates her signature pieces using "digital drawing" a technique she developed for her works on fabric. Her fascination with circles began in 2000. While working on a animated film series, she began her search for the perfect circle, and has continued her quest every since. Her current series uses bold shapes and abstract images and comes complete with witty names like Lipstick Land and Creme De Charcoal.
