Artist's Statement

Color is the foundation of my art. My circles start as a mood or a color idea that evolves into a colored circle. The process is like diving into a sea of color and eventually emerging holding the perfect colored circle. Why a Circle? When I explore my fascination with this shape I discover that the circle represents all that is familiar and comforting. It is the shape of the rising sun, of a mother’s nipple, of the iris of the eye, and of the full moon. I use the latest digital technology as a medium to create my circles. My circles are a synthesis of the old, the new and a fearless love of color.
